The Upside Down newsletter #3 !
"Upside down records is one year old & a new photographic exhibition in store".
On November 18th 2023, my young man’s dream became reality : I opened the doors to my own record shop. It has been a short year. Barely seen it, if I’m honest. Which is exactly how it should be! And I am so grateful to all of you for your support, your smiles, your online reviews and shares and of course your money….So……… THANK YOU from us The Upside Down Records team and here’s to many more years of prosperity and being part of the amazing Deptford community. It’s been amazing and we owe it all to you!
I’d like to thank in particular our friends at Strong Arm Steady barbershop, Hop Burns & Black, Badger Badger pub and games, The Waiting room café, Catford Rhum Arrangé Deptford and Villages brewery. When you come to Detford, make sure to visit one of these places!
So we’re going to celebrate, right? Well… yes, but nothing too wild, we’re busy and hangovers are bad for business!! So we’re excited to have invited DJ’s extraordinaire Gizelle and Rob N.A.N.G. who will be playing tunes from their remarkable record collections all day long on Saturday Nov 23rd, and of course we’ll have a particularly special selection of records in the new in. We’ll look forward to sharing a drink with all and anyone happy to toast with us!
